KBA 27618 not clear

Thread needs solution

I have the problem descibed by KBA 27618: Acronis True Image Home 2012 Errors Out with "Failed to open data stream" on Consolidation - but the resolution / solution is not clear. You start by saying there are two possible workarounds for this problem. But the document is written as if all steps listed are necessary to resolve the issue.
o You will need to recreate settings for this particular backup
o You will need to delete the database files of the product
Then, you don’t make mention when ‘recreate backup settings’ if the process is completely automated of if manual input is required to get everything back as it was.
Finally, I cannot find the file ‘archives.xml’ anywhere on my Windows 7 machine.

archives.xml is located in the hidden c:\programs data\ACronis\TrueIMageHome\Database

Recreate backup settings means you have to do it manually.

thank-you for clarifying the Knowledge base
Once your script file gets damaged it seems impossible to get back on track properly.
I had Daily-doug-data-Full-B2-S1-V1.tib with 2 increments
AND Daily-doug-data-Full-B3-S1-V1.tib with 2 increments
AND Daily-doug-data-Full-B4-S1-V1.tib with 2 increments
I would like to continue with Daily-doug-data-Full-B5-S1-V1.tib
My schema calls for FULL + 2 increments, keep 3 chains
1. I have tried deleting the bad script and recreating my schema - Daily-doug-data when I submitted the backup Daily-doug-data the script started over at Daily-doug-data-Full-B1-S1-V1.tib instead of Daily-doug-data-Full-B5-S1-V1.tib

so

2. I tried deleting Archives.xml and resubmitting Daily-doug-data backkup job
I got Daily-doug-data-Full-B2-S1-V1-2.tib which I guess is better but still not what I want.

I have attached a screenshot of my files backup directory
