Need help on reisntalling TrueImage software

Thread needs solution

I had some hard disk issuiing and ended up reinstalling Vista Home Premium (on my Dell 9200). I rebuilt the system the old fashioned way ( ie I I did not use or need to use my images).

I now want to resintall the Acronis software (and the settings I had for it to do my scheduled image backups) . I purchased TrueImage10 Build 4942.

I have a few options:
-I have a CD I created at the time (but I think this is the 'recovery" CD" - recall I am already recovered - jsut want to reinstall tthe TI product. I forget if the software itself is on the CD)
- I have an exe called TrueImage10.0.-s-en.exe ( but this may be the trial??)
-I have an exe callled TrueImage10.0.4942_s_en.exe ( this looks encouraging)
-I have an account as a registered user.

So my questiions are:

1) how should I go about re-installing the software?
2) how should I go about reinstalling the settings I had? I have copies of all my data files including those from ProgData, AppData, etc.

Thanks very much

Hi Mediaman,

TrueImage10.0.4942_s_en.exe ( this looks encouraging)

That's the latest version of True Image 10 to install. You need your Product Key however, in order to reinstall it.

Do not reinstall ProgData, AppData because you will not be adding the settings back into the Registry.

Redo the settings from within the programs.

a) Hmmm, in looking up my emails for my liscense info, it seems at some point I upgraded to Acronis® True Image Home® version 11.0 (build 8,053) I see I also have TrueImage11.8053_s_en.exe saved , so I'll start there I guess ( I have license info locally and on-line so am good there).

b) Is there a way to confrim, from the tib files what version it was created with?? If not, I will assume its Ver 11 as I did register for it.
