Data HD crased while Recovering the partion
After Formatting my Data Drive I attempted to recover it using macaronis 14, the back up files are on a nas drive.
I lost internet while the restore was in operation, after recovering the connection to the nas drive my data drive was no longer recognized by win7.
I took the pc to get it checked the drive had crashed.
Replaced the data drive with a new one and started the recovery once again but this time wired vrs wireless, After 5 hrs I Still had 7 hrs left for the recovery to complete. I left Acronis working and the next morning 6 hrs later I checked and had had this error (see attachment ) I selected retry 10 to 15 min later
Acronis displayed a 2nd error saying it could not find the backed up file so I searched for it and added to acronis oping everything would go well. After this I checked and once again the win7 would not recognize the drive letter, at this time I'm assuming the drive had crashed once again. I don't think the backup files were corroped because 2 days ago I dad done an incremental back up and a validating check and the back up was valid. Can some one help me with this Issue before I start a new recovery and crash the third drive.

It is a Disk Backup.
I wasn't able to format it or reinitialize it because the system did not recognize it .
I also had an It look at it and his response was that looked like the sectors were deleted on both drives.
I also tried to use the windows explorer like you mentioned. instead of the files in the tib file opening it is my c:/document that open not what had in the D: drive. By opening the back up using file recover no doubt the correct data is in the back up.
Now after two new HD I still want to attempt recovering the data using File recover instead of the recover button. Could you please let me know if this is a good way to recover or not.

Again, after a failed restore, the disk is not dead. It is simply blanked out. You have to use disk management (not Windows explorer) to reinitialize the disk, create a simple volume, then formatting that volume.
After you have readied your disk, boot the computer on Windows with ATI installed, then you have 2 options:
- using Windows explorer, double click on the backup file, and simply copy and past the content from the opened archive to the disk.
- right-clicking on the backup file, mount the image, then use Windows explorer to copy the data out progressively.
