Mustang PE and TI 2014 6688

Thread needs solution

HI all

JUst updated my USB boot drive ( GrubDOS) with a TI2014_6688 ISO image created by Mustang PEBuilder 2. I have a number of images on the stick

I previously had TI2014_6673 ISO file. This file boots well and I can use TI from the PE Windows 7 . However when I boot the newer build of ISO file 6688 it boots into PE WIN 7 BUT I have no mouse pointer at all.

I have installed the media addon that came with 6688.

Any ideas why I have suddenly lost my mouse pointer.

64bit Windows 7 Professional 32gig RAM

I have no idea why the mouse pointer would not work.

There is no reason for you to upgrade to build 6688. There were no bug fixes in this version. The only difference is that Universal Restore has been stripped out of the Windows version. A separate download is available for Universal Restore with build 6688. As far as I remember, the media add-on was not updated. I think it is still based on build 6673.

Thanks Paul

Yes the media add on is still 6673

Will stick to 6673 for backups.

Thanks again for the PE Builder. I have recently had to restore my system disk (SSD drive) onto a larger SSD drive for the first time in a couple of years and everything worked perfect from the USB boot. I love GRUBDOS!!!

I report back if I find the solution. It is just one of those niggles that is itching to be solved but in no way critical :-)

Hello to you as well.
Grover

Changed from a wired Logitech USB mouse ( normal one I use and which works with the WinPE made with TI2014_6673 ) to a wired Microsoft USB mouse and I now have a mouse cursor in the WinPE environment made with TI2014_6688. All works OK

Go figure :-)
