ATI 2014 trial long load times

Thread needs solution

I am trialing Acronis 2014 as a possible backup solution for several machines in our house but one thing is really bothering me. The delay between clicking the icon to the program appearing on the desktop can be 10 minutes or more. Surely this cannot be normal?

I did install ATI 2014 a couple of weeks ago and noticed this behaviour and deleted it but went back when I realised I had not turned off Malware Bytes and Kaspersky Pure, thinking that might have been the reason.

I reinstalled last night (turning off all AV) and wow! ATI loaded as quickly as I'd have expected. The backup tests went smoothly so I though all was good. This morning however, things are back to the 10 minute startup, any ideas or advice on where to look?

testing machine specs:
Motherboard: Asus P8Z77-v
CPU Intel i7 3770k Ivybridge
32gb Ram
120gb SSD for Windows 7 Ultimate (all updates)
2x 2Tb WD green SATA hard drives on the SATA III ports.

Backing up to, but probably not relevant:
Dell T5500 Dual Xeon workstation (headless)
12gb ram
12TB storage
Windows home server 2011 (all updates) will probably go to Server2012 R2 essentials later.

To reiterate, once running, everything seems to work fine, I can backup 270gb of music files in under an hour which I'm happy with for a first backup. It's just the getting there which is worrysome.

Just an update,

I did a test backup of my Outlook email yesterday evening. TI reported all was good with the backup but when I booted my machine tonight, Outlook would not start and complained that it could not open my Outlook.pst. I have never had a problem with Outlook before and it seeemed strange this happening as I do a TI backup. I then fired up TI (which this time came up instantly but with two copies of the dashboard) and decided to restore the backup TI did last night. It carried out the restore but reported errors and a lot of recent email is missing, good job I have a manual backup on the server.

To say I am dissapointed is an understatement, I was led to believe TI was highly regarded for reliable secure backups. Looks like my search goes on.
