ATI 2009 Incremental Backup Limited to 15?

Thread needs solution

I have not seen any mention or guidelines of limits on incremental backups. I have my backup set to consolidate only at 200G, which it is not close to. My backup ran an original full backup and then added 14 incrementals for a total of 15 files. When the 16th file ran last night, it did a full backup. Has anyone else seen this behavior? I would like to run full backups until it reaches 200GB (and I want to add 90 days) and then have it consolidate. Will it actually do this?

Thanks for any suggestions or input! --J

While I don't have an answer to your question I have to comment that you're flirting with disaster by relying on 15 .tib files to be in good order in case you need to do a recovery from them. It's better to keep 3 or 4 full backups and rotate them if space is an issue. And even more important is that you do an actual Restore (using the Rescue CD) to a "spare" hard drive to test the integrity of at least one of the Backups.
