Restoring Error

Thread needs solution

Yes, I am restoring my computer and everything seems to restore fine, I can load windows 8.1 normally without any errors. My issue is that it pretty much destroyed my recovery drive. When I go into the recovery drive it gives me the blue screen of death. Now it's not that big of a deal because I can boot off a USB backup to get into safe mode and the tools I need by my question is I restored my computer back to the way it was before and it basically failed. I know my recovery drive worked before because that's how I got into safe mood to install a drive. My question is even though I backed up the entire drive all partitions and restored the entire drive all partitions but I still got the blue screen of death, is this normal? Do it really only restore the main partition that windows is one and never restores the recovery drive. Sorry this is long winded I don't really know how to explain all of this very well.
