Best way to save with two external hard drives

Thread needs solution

Hi,
I'd like to use two external hard drives for my backup.
I want to save all data of my server (disk backup) on an external drive and switch the external hard drive all monday so I have a backup at home in case of fire in my office. The problem is than when I switch the external disk the next backup fail because it can't find the last save.
Is there a way or a settings to work around this problem ?
Thank you and sorry for my poor english

Are these backups full disk, incremental, or differential backups? If full disk backups you could create 2 separate tasks, one for each backup disk drive, and run the appropriate backup task for the chosen disk drive.

The backup task is mated to a specific destination disk via the disk id.
Each disk needs its own backup task. Each time you switch disks, you need to use the backup task assigned to that specific task and that specific disk.
If you do not use the correct task for the disk which is inserted, the backup will fail.

So is it possible to set 2 times the same task that run every two weeks ?
The two disk have the same letter because they are never both plugged at the same time and it's the same model.

1. As has been said, you need two separate backup tasks.

2. Do not share a drive letter between the two drives. Further, you should assign a fixed drive letter to each external drive, high in the alphabet (e.g. T, V) to avoid its letter changing. After doing this, you will need to create new backup tasks pointing to the new locations.

So is it possible to set 2 times the same task that run every two weeks ?

NO.
