Trying to resolve the problem of TIH 2013

Thread needs solution

Trying to resolve the problem of TIH 2013 falsely reporting the data size when making an image with exclusions has been a circus with Acronis churning through people who make hasty assumptions, fail to grasp the essence of the problem, and refuse to look in available records and test themselves. They can’t even send me a link to upload higher resolution photos to.

After getting the attention of lower management an expert contacted me, but s/he did not understand the problem and talked as though I had TIH 2014.

I’ve seen a lot of confusion and bad work, but I’m having difficulty remembering anything so shallowly bad.

It’s a dysfunctional organization with a cheap-fix mentality, that always results in very high costs and loss of sales.

Someday new boss Serguei Beloussov may get them sorted out, but he’ll have to be a Jack Welch to do it. He’ll have to ensure administrative excellence, with values that support good people doing good work and firing the unwilling, else his grand vision of expanding Acronis will fail. (The root problem is likely in the attitude of middle and upper management toward customers and employees.)

Beloussov has grand ideas to grow Acronis, but you can’t build a profitable skyscraper on peat bog.

I bother trying to solve Acronis' problems because their imaging products have some good features, such as:
- bootable from USB stick
- drive cleanup (but may have been eliminated in TIH2014, there was risk of confusing it with wiping the disk due similar names for commands)
- ability to exclude data

But there are many imaging/backup products out there, Acronis' problems will sap their sales.
