PlusPack Archive File

Thread needs solution

My most recent Acronis archive file was created on an external drive with TrueImage 2010 PlusPack.6029 software. My main internal hard drive on my PC later crashed. At this point I have access only to my original version of TrueImage (not PlusPack ). This version, however, will not restore the archived file. At this point, do I need to try to download another copy of 2010 PlusPack or is there some other way to access the data on my external drive? Thank you.

Hello Michael,

Thank you for posting your question, I will be happy to help.
There are two ways to get the access to the archive.
1) You can perform a clean install of Windows operating system, download the installation files for Acronis True Image Home 2010 and Acronis True Image Home 2010 Plus Pack, install them and retrieve the necessary data.
You can learn more on how to download the installation files in this article
2) If you have backed up the entire hard drive and you want to restore it, you should log in to your account, download an ISO file to create Acronis Bootable Media  (Log in -> Go to the Registered products and downloads section -> Acronis True Image Home 2010 Plus Pack -> Bootable media), burn the file to a CD disk. After that boot the system from this CD and restore the archive.
You can find the information on how to download the appropriate ISOLINUX file in this article. Please see this article on how to burn an ISO file to a CD disk.
Please let us know the results, we should be sure that the program runs flawlessly. If the provided information is not clear or if you have any other question do not hesitate to post them and we will be glad to answer.
Thank you.
