Acronis Agent User not in local administrators group
I kept having a problem whereby B&R v10.0.11345 wouldn't work on Windows 7. On trying to run a task, I got an error like "Components not found". Re-installing fixed it but that was hardly a good workaround.
It transpired that the local Acronis Agent User wasn't a member of the local administrators group. Adding it back, restarting the service and it worked - for a while. Come back a few days later and voila, it was missing from the local administrators group again.
Well I've found the cause - my PC is on a domain and is locked down. We use Restricted Groups in the group policy which rebuilds the local administrators group each time the policy is refreshed from a list of accounts specified in the policy. Thefore, as Acronis Agent User wasn't in this list, it was removed.
The fix is to add "Acronis Agent User" into the restricted group which was fine for us as I'm the IT manager and can authorise things like this :-) Not sure a larger corporate would be so happy to add it this way. Then again, restricted groups do have their limitations.
A wish for B&R is for it to check whether the account has the right access rights on start-up and come up with a more user friendly message as opposed to the rather cryptic messages you get now.
Just reporting it here incase anyone else has the same problem in the future.
Rob.

There is no password for Acronis Agent user that we can provide.
You can reset the password for it.
