Hello all,

Thank you for using Acronis True Image

The correct operations are not guaranteed on Windows 7. We are planning to release updates for our current products to fully support Microsoft Windows 7 after the official release.

Thank you.

Why would you say that, then release version 9809, and ATIH2K9 STILL has no support for Windows 7?
Seriously.  I just pressed Ctrl + F on the List of Changes webpage.  I entered the character "7".  The results?
"No Matches Found".
I'm still not paying for ATIH2010.  I can do as much as I need to with 7's native backup tools.
I still use ATIH2K9 on my Vista and XP machines, but wait...I don't have any machines running those Legacy OS's.  Hmmm.
I'm just one customer, with a simple question.

I'm running ATI 2009 build 9809 on Windows 7 Professional 64-bit without any issues. I have tested image and data file backups/restores and both work fine. Prior verions of ATI 2009 (9709,9796) also run fine on Windows 7 for image/data file backups.

What issues do you have with ATI 2009 on Windows 7?

Hello Charles and Keith!

Thank you for opening the thread regarding this question and for your comments. I completely understand your concern and will be glad to provide you with the details.

You are correct, Acronis True Image Home 2009 wasn't tested and updated to support Windows 7, so we cannot guarantee the stability of work and performance. Thus in case you run into any issues with it we won't be able to help you.

I regret to inform you that question for developing the updates for 2009 version to support Windows 7 is currently frozen. On the moment you have posted the quest and received the reply we haven't designed I completely understand how inconvenient it is and be sure I have already forwarded your comments to the Management and Marketing team, but I cannot guarantee you that it will be done. Hopefully with the help of customers' requests we will have it updated, but nevertheless OSes are moving on and so does our products. Sooner or later we will release Acronis True Image Home 2011 (I assume rather sooner, than later) and 2009 version will become outdated (not developed, updated and supported anymore).

I would appreciate if you could kindly let us know your concerns, questions and feedback with us - we will be glad to help you!

Thank you.

I take it sooner rather than later is to overcome the appalling bugs in 2010 rather than a working 2010 with mugs paying again!
