Extra Partitions After Cloning
Hi All
So I'm up and running with my SSD and when I go into my computer there are extra (I'm not sure if they are needed or not) partitions that purport to be empty when I click on them.
Can anyone assist with what these are, are they needed, should I get rid of them and if so how please?
Many thanks for reading
P

You have 87GB of non-allocated space which is available for use either by Drive C or your purported Data partition.
How do you wish to utilize that space shown below in your capture?
Any chance you have a capture of your original SSD showing how it was configured?
Note: you might want to leave 10-20GB unallocated for use by the SSD, but that still leaves 60 or so GB for use elsewhere.

Thanks GroverH
I just cloned my original HDD and that was how it came out. Had a google and ended up getting rid of G: as it was old data that I've already backed up.
Extended it and it looms like this now, can I free or unallocate the 10-20gb you mention?
Looks like this now:

Yes. If the SSD is Samsung, their included Samsung Magician will do it, otherwise, you can just use the Windows Disk Management to pull in the right boudry so the unallocated space is at the end of the partition.
Does your system partition normally have a letter assigned?????
Is youe Drive C (OS) the normal active partition??????
Is this disk iin use and working ok??

Just upload the jpg file directly via Acronis.
Same procedure as you are using with the docx but it is direct.

It's a crucial MX100 256gb.
My system drive, I believe is the C: which has my OS, programs, data etc if that is the normal active partition. Sorry I'm a bit of a nnob to all this!
It's running fine at present.
Thanks again
