True Image 2013 will not allows Windows 8 PC to shut down for a restart or shutdown

Thread needs solution

I have reviewed KB 19016, which applies to True Image 2011 or an earlier version.

I am running True Image 2013 Build 6514 on a PC running Windows 8.1 64 bit.

When I try to restart my computer and True Image 2013 is running a backup, I get the "operations in progress" splash screen ad infinitum. Last night, I shut down my computer at 22:30 and today at 9:10, it was still "operations in progress."

I had this problem when I upgraded to True Image 2013, and Acronis technical support provided a patch that corrected the problem. I cannot find the tech support email that directed me to the patch, nor can I find it under the Support section of the Acronis website.

I believe it was a command line.

Does anyone know what the command line is ... or the location of the patch ... that will resolve the "operations in progress" shutdown prevention?

Thank you.

Why does this question never get an answer, official or unofficial?

The Windows shutdown bug has been around for years. I still see it in the latest version of Acronis. And yet no one seems prepared to acknowledge the handful of victims and certainly not to help fix a long standing issue.

Hi & up!
When I make running True Image 2014 or 2015 on a PC running Windows 8.1 64 bit, everytimes I can't restart (shutdown ok).
When I remove True Image, restart: ok, shutdown: ok.
