Clone SSD RAID0 (2x128) to SSD RAID0 (2x256)

Thread needs solution

Hi,

I want to know if it is possible to clone my laptop SSD RAID0 (2x128) to SSD RAID0 (2x256) with Acronis. And if yes, how to proceed.

Thanks for your help.

Greetings,
Don't bother with a clone. Use an external disk or network storage. Create a full disk image back up of your RAID 0. Make a note of disk management. Partition structure, and disk layout of your existing install. Now label and remove these disks from the LT. Put in safe place.

Install new drives, create RAID0 in RAID Config Utility
Connect to USB or network
Boot from Acronis Boot CD
Restore your RAID0 saved previously to the new array

If multiple partitions exist, restore one at a time in the order (layout) they existed on the old drive. One at a time, adjusting partition sizes (if applicable). You don't have to restart between restore operations (multiple partitions). When you are finished, you're new array will be identical to your old install, except your partition(s) will now fill the capacity of your new larger array.
