Win XP Universal Boot requests "forcepae"

Thread needs solution

Using Win XP SP3 trying to restore to dissimilar hardware and I boot Universal Restore CD and click on Universal Restore. Message back is "following features not present on the CPU: pae -unable to boot use a kernel appropriate for your CPU. What is required and how? Thx

thank you for your posting and welcome to our forum!

The error message means that your processor is relatively old and doesn't support PAE.

All current Acronis Linux media require this function.

As a workaround you can create WinPE bootable media.
