Create fullimage from Server

Thread needs solution

I'd like to create an full image from my server.

I want to do this with my backup-computer; which is connected by the LAN network.

It works fine when I want to backup files / maps, but this time I want the computer (so I can put it back when it crashed).

Is this possible; and how?

Hello Eric,

I will help you to sort this situation out.

First of all, we have to figure out what exact product do you want to create a backup remotely with.

Please be aware that current version of Acronis True Image Home 2010 does not allow you to create the partition or HDD backup remotely, because this product can create an image of the PC it's installed on only. But you can save this image to network location.

But I assume you're using some server version. Please take a look at Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 Advanced Server, this product can backup up machines remotely. You can simply install Remote Agent on your target PC and connect to it from Management Console (it can be installed on any PC with your network). Then you will be able to image that PC and save the backup file to some location (internal, external drive or network folder).

I'd recommend you to check the trial version for the product here. The functional limitation of the trial version is that you can only use a software for 15 days. Windows version is fully functional  and it does not have any more limitations.
Bootable CD from trial version can be used for recovery only.

Also, the product concepts and full functionality is described in this User's Guide.

Additionally to this, you are welcome to ask me any other questions concerning Acronis, and I will assist you further.

Thank you.
