slow recovery

Thread needs solution

I had a hd start to fail on me so I am using the trial edition. It did a 500GB back up in about a couple of hours, but trying to restore it to a new drive it is telling me that it is going to take 3 days and 21 hours to complete. It has restore 26 gb in about 5 hours. is this normal?

We need to be provided more information.

The disk with the disk image is it an internal or external disk? If its an external disk what type of connection is it ( USB 2.0, USB 3.0, eSATA, Network, ect. )

I'm making now the same oberservations with a very slow recovery.

System is a Lenovo Y570 (SSD+HDD). Backup Media is a WD 2TB external disk drive.
Acronis Backup is working normal with a Speed of 20MB- 40 MB.
Copy data from external disk to Laptop is working with around 40-60MB.
But recovering from a Incremental Backup I have got a Speed of 1.5MB to 2.5MB/sec.

It doesn't matter which Kind of data I'm restoring. Same Speed for small files 10 KB as well as pictures jpg in a size of 25 MB.
Ressource Monitor shows 5-10% time of Maximum activity.

So defect hardware is not the bottleneck.
