where do I find the log file for each backup?

Thread needs solution

On earlier versions, I could see "log file" for each backup. Does ATI 2015 still have log files? Where? It's not essential, but I like to look at them- just to get a sense of how the program goes about its business.

I have used Acronis for many years. I view the logs just to see how things were done. But it is IMPERATIVE to see them when something goes wrong. Without them you would have no idea on how to solve the problem. It looks like in Acronis 2015 you must send mail to some SMTP mail server to get the logs! Note that you have to send your email password. Gmail complained that this was not a secure way to send mail, and had me enable a less secure way of sending mail with a password in order to get the logs.
Acronis should fix this so that the logs can be written to a local disk. I can not understand why they did this. They are making the interface easy to use, but some thing are still needed - like the logs for solving errors.

wow, I hope Acronis is listening- I'm not an advanced computer user- middling perhaps, but even I see a strong need for it- let's have this feature back

where can I find instructions about sending mail to the SMTP server? not that I will, just like to see those instructions

Grover, in that thread, I just posted a response to Anna- her reference to an Acronis document- isn't working for me, on my Win 8.1 system, that is, I can't find the path indicated to find the logs.
