File/Folder Exclusions
I don't see any way to exclude files and folders. Specifically I have several VMware Fusion virtual machines that have large VHD files and I want to exclude them, how do I do that with the Mac version?

It's also necessary to exclude files under all home directories ~/Library/Caches
I've also got huge test-data database files that make no sense to back up
It's a major issue on cloud backup to exclude files/folders

I'm searching for this feature also, as mentioned in the "ATIMAC_userguide_en-US.pdf" User Manual that I just downloaded.
It reads as follows:
2.6 Excluding items from backups
Before you start a backup, you can reduce the backup size by excluding data that does not need to be backed up. Acronis True Image 2015 now allows you to exclude your local data that is uploaded or synchronized with third-party Cloud services, such as iCloud Drive or Dropbox. This data is already reliably protected and can be easily downloaded to your computer. Therefore you can exclude it to reduce the backup size and to speed up the backup process.
To exclude items from a backup:
1. Before you start the backup process, click Exclude items from backup. 2. Clear the check boxes next to the items that you want to exclude, and then click OK.
I've poked around, and can't find this function in the osx version. Is this a feature that's coming soon? If not, then I regret installing, as this makes TI unusable with my mbp setup.

I installed ATI for Mac yesterday and also found the same entry in the instructions but can't find the option in the UI. We really need this fixed because there's no point in backing up these kinds of unnecessary files.
Hopefully someone from ATI reads this but it might be necessary to open a support case.

I'm really disappointed that I cannot specify exclusions during the backup process especially as I checked the User Guide before purchasing this software and was led to believe this would be possible.
I have a 1TB SSD drive in my new macbook pro that I have partitioned into x2 partitions; x1 partition for the main system and x1 partition for media (videos, mp3s etc...). I only ever want to backup the system partition but there doesn't seem to be a way of excluding the media partition during the backup process. Every time I perform a backup the software insists on backing up the entire disk which is over 350Gb of data (about 30Gb of system files and 320Gb of media files).
Quite frankly this software is utterly useless until exclusions are supported!

Hello everyone,
thank you for your feedback.
"Exclude from backup" option will be available with the nearest update (coming soon).
It will be possible to exclude specific files and folders and to exclude files by mask.
Kind regards,
