TIB validates OK but recovery fails with "Cannot find version..."
I am attempting to recover a partition (my C: drive). The recovery fails saying it "cannot find version 3". The Browse button does nothing.
The list of backup files appears complete (to my eye). The archive also validates successfully when I open it on another machine running the same version of TI 2015. I don't understand how it can be found and used for validation if it cannot be found during recovery. Any suggestions?
Here's the list of files:

I have had a catastrophic disk failure. I am attempting to restore from backup everything that was on it.
As you will see, slice three goes back to November of 2013, over a year ago. That is a lot to lose if I can't get a workaround for this apparent bug. (I say "apparent" because I am taking the error message at face value when it says it can't find a slice that is manifestly there.)
I am certain there has never been an error reported during a backup. I know the validation process finds no problem.

It seems pretty clear that I'm not going to get a timely answer to this urgent issue, even from tech support.
My conclusion at this point is that the error message is misleading. I bet TI can find the file but there must be some error within it. The file is probably compressed (I assume) and there is probably a problem decompressing it. I will never know for sure because the log file is scrupulously free of any useful information.
I have wasted my money and lost over a year of email that I thought I had protected.
Once I put this incident behind me I am shopping for a new backup utility. One without a Fisher-Price interface; one that provides helpful messages and log files, and one which really validates the backups rather than just pretending to (or failing silently, whichever).
Way less than not impressed.

This goes from catastrophic to apocalyptic!
I just ran another validate this time using TI 2013 and now it has marked the entire backup chain corrupt and won't allow me to restore even back to version 2! I now have nothing but a scambled laptop.
Everything. Gone. I am numb.

You have a recovery issue and Acronis will help free with recovery issues. Contact Acronis via the support Live Chat method and get some Acronis help.
Note that newer programs should recover older backups, but older programs will NOT recover backups created by newer programs.
Support will only help via direct contact. Support does not respond to forum postings.

I had opened an issue with tech support before I ever posted here.
They contacted me about an hour after I posted my last forum comment so for that I give them credit.
Unfortunately the only suggestion they had makes no difference.
