NDAS drive is connected but not shown

Thread needs solution

All,
I am desperately trying to get my back up back on my computer. USB connection to external HHD does not work nor NDAS. I tried the latest iso file as well as creating boot discs.
I can mount the NDAS disc and it also shows up in the "create now drive" dialogue, but I canot see it at the "recovery" dialouge.
Any idea how to fix it?
I tried almost everything, my last option would be to buy a new hdd and copy the files there and hope that helps. But that would be the last option.

Thanks

Hello Lars!

Welcome to Acronis Forum and thank you for finding time to  report about the issue! I completely understand your concern and will be glad to assist you with the issue.

There can be several possible reasons for this issue, so let's make sure that we have everything correctly set up before proceeding with the investigation.

  1. Let's try another Acronis Bootable Rescue Media based on another loader - it may properly recognise the USB and NDAS drive.
I would also suggest you trying to boot with parameter 2.
  2. Please make sure that you are using UNC path to access NDAS. So it should look like
    \\[NDAS ip address]\[shared folder name]

Should the issue persist, we will need to take a closer look at the issue. In order to know on what exact step the bootable CD fails to identify USB drive and NDAS, we'll need some additional information. Could you please kindly provide us with the following?

  1. Acronis Linux Report from the bootable media
  2. Acronis Info from the machine in question (with the USB drive attached)

Please kindly submit a support request with the info attached. I would appreciate if you could kindly specify me the case number so that I could check whether it is properly handled.

Should you need anything else or have any further questions - feel free to contact us at your earliest convenience, we will be happy to help you!

Thank you!
