Cannot customise file backup due to error
Hi all,
My problem: Acronis True Image 2015 (build 6525) will not always save a file backup once I've entered my settings. To be specific, I can create a file backup with the default settings but if I try to change a setting, like giving it a schedule, it displays an error that the task could not be deployed. Here are details:
Error: "Failed to deploy task. Restart your computer and try again. If the error persists, check your antivirus settings".
Error code: 0x00640160+0x0090000B+0x00900007 (there is nothing in the knowledge base for this).
Troubeshooting: Restarted as it suggested. Disabled antivirus as it suggested. Ran the backup with the default settings then tried to modify the task - still fails.
What did have an effect but didn't fully resolve the issue is running Acronis as Administrator (right-click, run as Administrator). This at least allowed me to set a schedule but still I am unable to tick the option "run on HDD alarm". To me that makes the issue that little bit weirder; running as admin lets me save some settings, but not all.
I work in I.T. so you can assume I've tried quite a few things to fix this. However hoping someone has a suggestion for something I've missed/not thought of.
Thanks

Thanks for you reply, however unfortunately nothing in the article at the link you provided was able to help me.
The Acronis Scheduler2 service is running and can be stopped and started without issue, therefore this service is not the cause of the problem. The only other recommendation the article makes is to wait a few minutes before trying to configure the task but that doesn't work either, I can wait 7 hours and the problem persists.
I'd love to email Acronis support however apparently they seem to only offer about 3 hours free support (sarcasm) before you have to purchase a support package. This will be the first and last Acronis product that I ever purchase. My advice to anyone who asks me, as their go-to person for I.T. support will be not to purchase an Acronis product (however this is not your problem, I'm just venting my frustrations as I've already re-installed the product once for a different issue).
Again, I appreciate your reply.
Have a nice day.

Hello Brock,
please use Acronis Scheduler Manager to install/uninstall Acronis Scheduler2 Service.
And also please make sure that your antivirus program doesn't block Acronis processes (add Acronis to exclusions).
Enchantech, thank you for helping!
