Unable to Recovery Linux Backup / Acronis True Image 2013
After a successful full backup of a Linux RHEL 5.10 disk, I am unable to recover backup to same disk (note that this is being done as a test to verify backup / restore functionality).
Per the attached screen shots, recovery steps are:
1) Recovery Method - Full
2) What to Recover - Everything on Disk 1
3) Destination of Disk 1 - LSI Logical Volume
When trying to move on to Restoration Method step, I receive the below message:
“The destination hard disk drive you have chosen contains some partitions that could contain useful data. Hard disk drive image recover is possible only if the destination hard disk drive is empty. Click OK to confirm deletion of all the partitions on the destination hard disk drive.”
Nothing happens when I click OK in response to above message.

After clicking OK to the “The destination hard disk drive you have chosen contains some partitions that could contain useful data. Hard disk drive image recover is possible only if the destination hard disk drive is empty. Click OK to confirm deletion of all the partitions on the destination hard disk drive" message, I am unable to move on to the Restoration Method step.
Every time I select Next, I get the message. The software is not letting me go any further.

I came across a posting in this forum indicating that only the largest partition (i.e. the Linux LVM partition) should be selected vs. selecting all partitions (boot, MBR, Linux Swap, and Linux LVM). This does not make sense to me.

I tried doing the Restoration again this time and only selected the boot, Linux Swap, and Linux LVM partitions. Everything worked. Why can't I restore the MBR?
