Delete Backup

Thread needs solution

I just upgraded to 2015. I have an old backup that carried over from 2014. The hard drive that it is associated with is no longer available. How do I delete all files and reference to this backup. I don't want to just remove it from the list, which I see is an option.

Thanks

Open the task which created the backup and see if you have a delete option.
If no, then browse to the storage folder and do a Windows delete of the files.
Then, remove the task from the list.

Thanks for the reply. The external HD associated with the back up I want to delete is no longer available. If there are Acronis data files I can delete, where are they located?

If the storage disk containing the unwanted backup is not available or not accessible, then there is no backup files to delete.

If you have a backup task pointing to the non-available files, you can use the "Remove from list" option to delete the task listing without any tib files associated.

After upgrading to a new build or a new version, it usually better to stop using any prior task and start over with all new backup tasks and each new task to have a new unique name and each task pointing to its own unique storage sub-folder.
