Acronis 10 and tape backup
Hello
i try the last version (oct) of acronis 10.
I still use tape to backup serveur, i use actually the 9.1 with the 2000 server, and 9.5 for 2003 server.
I made some test with the version 10 but i have some issue.
i don't understand, why i have choice to backup all partition or all files. So when i backup all partition on tape drive, i can't restore some files, just all partition, or just files if i select backupup only files
it's not great....
the advantage of acronis in compare of backup exec, is that acronis can save all partitions.
the advantage of acronis in compare of BESR is that acronis can use tape drive.
Could you explain the choice to divide this feature, and how can i make some backup plan on tape, to make full backup each day, and to be able to restore a server completly, or just restore some files, with one backup on tape
thank you

Hello Oleg
I'm a little disappointed to not to have the capacity to backup OS+data on a same media (cartridge) with the new version 10
I will still use 9.5 version of ATIE, and i couldn't update to the 10's version.
When the .10 would have this feature, i could migrate and use new good features, like double destination and deduplication.
Is there any news about the capacity to function with tape drive into the 10 version, it was possible into previous version (9.1/9.5)
thanks
