Hello Jim,

Please accept our apologies for the difficulties you've experienced.

Most likely, you've tried to run Acronis One-Click Backup by clicking the respective desktop icon (as opposed to launching from the product):

and the backup fails with the following error message:

(0x0)
Tag = 0x0

If so, please try to launch the first Acronis One-Click Backup from the product:

  • Start Acronis True Image Home 2010;
  • Click Tools & Utilities -> One-Click Backup:

    After the first Acronis One-Click Backup runs and completes successfully, all subsequent attempts to run Acronis One-Click Backup by clicking the desktop icon should also be successful.

Acronis Development Team is working on fixing the issue and the fix will be available in the next official build of the software.

If you've tried to run the software itself (not One-Click Backup), please gather AcronisInfo and submit a support request.
