Activation button greyed out

Thread needs solution

I've read some other topics about this but still cant figure out what to do.
I downloaded my version via the link http://www.acronis.com/en-us/promo/tihd-download/ (Acronis True Image 2014)
as instructed by the pamflet i received with my crucial SSD. After converting my short key into a full key the program wont activate because the button stays greyed out.

Please supply me with a correct key or a correct version download for the key i received.

I found this information on the Crucial forum website but it sounds like you've performed all the steps already: http://forum.crucial.com/t5/Crucial-SSDs/Installing-and-Activating-Acro….

Doing a forum search within this forum on your subject, it seems that users are often referred back to the drive manufacturer for guidance. I did find some posts where an Acronis staff member was helpful. I haven't used this bundled software feature but it seems there have been some problems as you describe.

Not much help but thought I'd pass this information along.

I am having exactly the same issue with my Crucial MX200 500GB SSD. I have followed the instructions including those in the link posted by David. And when i try to contact Acronis support I get a message that this version of the software (2104) is no longer supported!

I need a reliable migration / backup tool. Come on Crucial - Acronis get this sorted out if you want me to buy your products.

Little sad to see to get zero response....guess i'm gonna look for a different product and never use this brand again.

Have you tried to contact Crucial or Acronis Support directly? They would be the folks who can help you with your activation problem.

Contacting Acronis support was a non-starter as i could not get past a screen telling me that my version was unsupported.

I contacted Crucial support and they supplied another 16 digit short code. That got me another 64 digit code and I was able to activate the software :- )

The information David provided is correct. The vendor supplying the OEM version of the product is the party responsible for supplying a valid/working activation code or serial number.
