System-Snapshot, what's included?

Thread needs solution

in the german version it is called "systemzustand" which probably means "system-snapshot"
I'd like to know which files are included in the backup. Is it compareable with the MS-Windows Snapshot function?
I havn't found anything in the manual yet.

Are you referring to the System State backup type?

From the manual, Section 9.3:

System State (file-level backup of the boot files, registry, protected Windows files, and COM+ CLASS registration database). Backing up the System state allows you to recover the system files, drivers, etc., but not the data files and folders you use in your work. For more information on the System State backup see Microsoft TechNet article Backing Up and Restoring Data.

so it is NOT as affective like the Windows-Recovery-Point creation ??

Depends on what you mean by affective. I've had Windows Restore Points fail so many times that I just turn them off now.

I prefer image backups of the Windows partition. That way, I know what's being restored and I'm not just rolling back parts of the system.

well I had never any problems with Windows RESTORE POINTS.
A complete backup of the windows partition would need more space on a second partition or extra HDD and takes more time than the windows RESTORE POINT solution.
I guess I have to test it myself
