True Image 2014 shuts down PC during disk imaging
I have a problem imaging disks that has developed within the last couple of months.
I try to image a USB connected disk (not sure yet if it also happens with sata connected disks) and about half way through the imaging process the machine just cuts out, powers off with no BSOD, it just dies.
I have narrowed this down to Acronis, and am sure that this is what is causing it. It is 100% reproducible, and so at the moment I cannot image any disks. I have tried different USB caddies, USB2 and 3.
I have been an Acronis customer since version 6, so for about 12 years, and have stuck with it through various problems, but this one is a disaster. I have bought Paragon Hard Disk Manager, and while it doesn't do some of the things I want it to that TI can, I may have to switch to it if this can't be sorted out.
The PC is Windows 7 64 bit. Any ideas?
Matt

I run a PC repair business, and am familiar with the concept of overheating. However that is not the case here. Every other application works fine, other imaging software can image the disk fine, the cpu is clear of dust, and not overheating. I am confident that the hardware is not the issue.
I have a power supply tester, and the power supply is fine too.
