True Image - will not launch cloning operation - and wouldn't let me reboot back into windows...
I just purchased the full product - and installed it on my Windows 8.1 machine which is brand new from HP Pro Desk 600, 500mb, 32gig ram.
I was familiar with the product having used the 2009 and 2011 versions.
Following the install I chose the cloning operation (to an empty/reformatted 750mb drive) and did a manual operation.
When the system went to reboot, the screen came up with a strange message... something about PXE.... Which scared me to death... I couldn't afford to lose what I had just installed on it.
I managed to use the windows recovery operation (1st time I have ever had to do this).
So what is the problem? I read the disk fine on another machine --- I made sure I could add a file to it after it was completely reformated.... So the disk appears fine...
Does the product work? What went wrong? How do I fix it...

If you want to clone the disk, use the recovery CD. Initiating the clone operation from Windows will trigger changes in your boot records that might not work as expected, in particular with newer UEFI/GPT set ups.
If you just want to do a disk backup, choose "entire PC". This can be done from Windows without issues.
