Is my backup toast?

Thread needs solution

Suddenly 4 days ago my scheduled Incremental Backup turned itself "off" and started a new one. The Properties on files now only go back 4 days. The turned "off" thread shows the hundreds of TIBs, as does the file directory. I notice, though, that there's now a tib with no number and the recent date, and the next is numbered "2". This is so much more clear from two screenshots attached.

Have I lost all my backups before 4 days ago? Every time I attempt a restore (of files), it's looking for "1". Would this be easier to fix or troubleshoot in the latest release of True Image?

Look at the screenshots (just one picture file) and please advise, thanks,

Bernard

Bernard,
Which version of Windows and also which version of True Image?

Too soon to tell the extent of the damage with our limited information.

First thing is to run a manual validation.

There is a good chance you will need to uninstall and reinstall or at least to delete the history file.

Does the tib files cross different versions of True Image?

Having more than a few of the incremental is not a good idea for the safety of your data and its restorability.

One place to inspect is that the FULL begins as #1 and each Incremental must be present and sequentially numbered continuing with #2. If any incremental missing , the chain continuity stops there and remainder loses its restorability at that point. Most times when the task number of files is high, there is a mis-match in number and correction via deletion of history file is needed. A validation is needed to ascertain.
