ATI 2015 How to sync ATI database to actual files in backup folders

Thread needs solution

I create full backups for partitions in internal drives, external hardwired drives, and in portable drives that I weekly swap with other drives in a safety deposit box. I manage the portable drives files by personally deleting old files leaving enough room for the new backup on the drive. ATI 2015 gives me an error that if cannot find the missing files (deleted by me). And editing the settings to keep only x number of backups does not work and that is the reason I do it myself. The backup is created correctly on the drive but ATI cannot reconcile the "missing" files issue. So, what I would like to do, as in older versions of ATI is erase the database and have ATI re-create the database with what is actually in the backup folders (why there is not a "re-synch database to folder" option is beyond me. Or edit the database itself and fix what Acronis should be able to do automatically. I usually wind up creating a new backup process in another directory and starting again, what a PITA.

The ATI database management process is not well defined and I really should not have to really understand how it operates to use ATI. Judging by the questions in the forum, I am not alone. Except most folks are trying to recover old BU files.

So, how do I re-synch the database to the real world (don't want to recover any deleted or re-named backup files). Just a link to the info would be appreciated.

Your best option may be to open your Acronis database and delete all the files in that folder.
Possibly in c:\programdata\Acrons\TrueImageHome\Database

The above will not delete your tib files but will delete all your tasks and require new tasks.
