Problems with Bootable CDs and LG GH22LP20
I'm curious as to whether anyone else has encountered this: I was completely unable to get my LG CD/DVD unit to boot from a bootable CD. This happened with both my Acronis recovery CD, and a Windows Installation CD.
The BIOS was set correctly: to look for a floppy, then CD, then the first HD. Switching to an ancient, generic CD-only unit was what allowed me to get my data back.
Has anyone else had booting problems with LGs?
Also, I had some trouble setting up my forum account (and when your data is missing and your backup not working, that is THE ABSOLUTE LAST situation you want to find yourself in). So for future reference, does my ability to post here confirm that I have the serial number for my ATI registered correctly?

I'm not sure there is a direct connection between forum registration and having serial numbers registered correctly. For you serial number, login to your account (not the forum) and make sure you can retrieve your serial #'s (there is a button for this purpose).

You need to register at www.acronis.com to make sure you have your serial numbers properly registered.
