Change "normal" Backup in to Universal Resture

Thread needs solution

I did an full Backup of my PC and now i had to buy an new pc. So I didn't did a Universal Recovery but i have my Backup.
Do I can change the "normal" Backup in to a Universal Recovery Backup?

Btw. It's very important because i have to work with that pc as soon as it's possible

A full system image back up can often be used to restore your old system to dissimilar hardware. There is not a UR specific back up. Universal restore is merely the process for restoring an image from one machine to another. It is recommended that you have the following drivers for the new system on hand for the UR process.

Chipset
Storage Controller Drivers

The more similarities the hardware share the better. Trying to go from RAID to non RAID for example is not always possible. While Acronis works similarly to Windows SysPrep a seamless recovery is not always possible, but it certainly won't hurt to try. Your version of Acronis must include Universal Restore. You'll need a boot cd and a USB stick (or access to a network location with the drivers). I suggest a USB stick. The drivers must be unpacked and in .inf, .sys, .oem. Not sure what version/build of ATIH you are using. Maybe this guide will help.
