The need for custom built WinPE wih UEFI secure boot?

Thread needs solution

Hello!

-When I first time came across a PC wih UEFI I hated it because I couldn't boot it (with TI and a USB drive) the way I was used to. So I always made a conversion back to CSM.

Now I have a better understanding for UEFI and how it works and have not yet failed to boot a single PC using UEFI and secure boot. Some have been trickier than others, but still...

This makes me wonder if it all depends on luck never having had the need for stunt tricks like building my own custom WinPE USB flash drive? Or are there PC's that are virtually impossible to boot without doing so? Why's that in that case?

It just that the implementations of UEFI/GPT systems are still diverse. I guess this will get standardized by the OEMs progressively.
