Does 2015 deserve a new try?...
I own licenses for all Acronis True Image versions since Acronis True Image 11 Home thru Acronis True Image 2015. For various reasons, I tried the 2014 and 2015 versions but did not like them, so I ended up sticking to the 2010, 2012 and 2013 versions and these are the ones I have been using in my three laptops.
Now comes Windows 10 and I am warned these versions are not compatible and will be removed during installation of Windows 10. So I need to decide whether to keep my old versions of Acronis and not upgrading Windows, or upgrading WIndows and giving it another try at the newer versions of Acronis...
If I decide to try, say, Acronis 2015, I need to uninstall TI 2012 and TI 2013 in two of my machines. The third one is an older machine and I'm not planning on upgrading on it. This is the one with TI 2010.
My question is: What is the best (or the most efficient) way for uninstalling those two older versions of Acronis? Particularly on the 2012, I read somewhere that it was quite difficult to do a complete, clean uninstall.
All advice will be much appreciated.

Here is a TrueImage Cleanup utility intended to remove TI 2012. The download is inside this link. Be sure to follow the instructions listed in the "common" instructions.

---------------------------------
The above is intended for 2012 but the instructions in this link are much clearer.

Use the instructions in 48668 to know how
but use the download from 34876 for the removal.

Note: Version 2016 is in beta testing now.

Hi, Grove!
Thank you very much for your response to my question. As expected, your instructions worked seamlessly!
At this point, I can confirm that (1) I successfully removed 2012 from within the application itself (.exe file); (2) installed 2015; (3) made a backup using 2015 (incidentally, it seemed a little slower than 2012); (4) tried (but failed) to restore with 2015 rescue media.
I read a long thread about this as of yet unexplained (and uncorrected) problem and learned that someone successfully tried to restore a 2015 backup with 2014 rescue media. I gave it a try and bingo... It worked!
So, are we supposed to keep doing backups with TI 2015 and then using TI 2014 rescue media for restoring, if and when necessary? This, I think, reminisces of prior issues with Acronis, where problems keep being pushed forward with an apparent childish nonchalance and vague promises about a "coming soon" solution that never happens... somewhere in the distant future!!!...
I guess one of these days Acronis will come out announcing TI 2016... New baby, new fresh bucks, I guess... And the old and new problems keep being "rolled" forward with no visible concern about their swift resolution...
In an environment like this, my friend, please allow me to say, how lucky I am and how lucky are many other customers of Acronis' to have someone like yourself always graciously available to provide timely, well informed and proven ways to resolve issues that Acronis corporate professionals are paid for and expected to resolve!
Cheers!

A quick update...
...I come back to say that I encountered a number of problems with my system after restoring from a backup made with ATI 2015. The restore seemed to have completed normally but I soon found that the Norton icon was not working (it was like dead) and my Norton Identity Safe would not open (like dead also).
Soon thereafter I started getting various popup error messages from Norton and while one was resolved with an automated fix, the others would not. Then, I was getting a little scared, when another message came out announcing an unspecified problem with Norton. Fortunately, this one responded positively to a click in the "Fix" button and I could read that it re-enabled "Auto-Protect", whatever this means. Why or how it had been "disabled", I don't know. Does someone have any idea?
Then, after this, everything seemed to start falling in place and I was able to use the Norton icon to run a few Norton updates and the error messages stopped.
Enough of a little scare and a big nuisance that I can only attribute to Acronis. Whatever the problem was, it must have had something to do with the removal of TI 2012 and/or the restore of the backup I did with TI 2015.
Conclusion: I made up my mind that for the foreseeable future I will not want to have installed in my system any version of Acronis. I will use one or more versions of the rescue media to do both the backups and restores, making sure that I avoid Acronis 2015 as much as the plague... :( My experience with it has been nothing less than disastrous.
And what are the news and anticipations about the upcoming TI 2016, does anyone know?
I read somewhere that it would be based in the cloud... If so, I'll definitely skip it. I'm ignorant enough to be doubtful about the "cloud technology" why, with all these constant news about new hackers and new hacked sites...
I have been using TI 2012 in this machine with no major complaints, except that Windows 10 tells me now that it is not compatible, meaning I must have to decide between using one or the other... I also have been using TI 2010 in an older machine (running on Win 7) without nothing to complain about it either... So, I mean, I may have a number of years ahead to keep using the Acronis versions I already own, at least until Acronis comes out with something new that I can comfortably use -- or -- until something new appears from other providers that I feel comfortable to exchange for my old friendly Acronis... :)
