Can't delete a backup file
I've been using Acronis True Image Home 2010. Backups were working fine until my external hard drive started going south. I managed to copy the most recent backup to my hard drive and then got another external hard drive. I ran the full backup process to the new external hard drive and it worked great. So I go to my internal hard drive in Explorer to delete the copy I had made from the bad external drive and it continues to give me message saying The Action can't be completed because the folder is open in Windows Explorer. Close the folder and try again. The file is called backup.tib. I tried renaming it and it gives me the same message. Its a 106 gig backup file so it would free up quite a bit of hard disk space. The folder isn't open anywhere else. I don't get it. Anybody run into this? It won't let me delete this huge file. I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate.

Have you tried totally powering off your computer and disconnecting the external drive. Totally pull the power plug from the wall so it is not getting any power for a few minutes.
Or you might try to open the Windows task manager (ctrl-alt-del) and end the process of the Windows Explorer and TrueImage--if necessary.

A bootable BartPE cd will do it. It's a good CD to have in your "bag-o-tricks".

Try booting into safe mode to delete the file.
