TI 2015: How do I clone a MBR disk to a GPT disk?

Thread needs solution

I am trying to upgrade the disk in my system. I currently have a 2 TB disk and am trying to go to a larger capacity disk.

Clone disk allows me to select the source drive but the destination drive is grayed out. I can't restore the backups from the 2 TB disk to the larger disk, either with the windows version of True Image 2015 or with the boot-able CD version of the application. As a side note I also tried using Windows System Image and that would not let me do it either.
I find it odd that I cannot restore a backup to a larger disk.

Does your system support booting in UEFI mode? If it doesn't then successfully migrating to this GPT formatted "larger capacity disk" will result in an unbootable system.

It would be very helpful if you provided more details about your system.
What size is this "larger capacity disk" and how is it connected to your system?
Is your "system" a laptop or a desktop?
What version of Windows are you using?

Without basic information no one is going to be able to provide insight to your issue.

Based on the description of the problem you're experiencing, it sounds like the physical sector sizes of the source and target disk are incompatible. The following link has information on checking the sector size of your disk, and a table showing which sector sizes are compatible for migration.
