I have a Sony Viao VGC-RB40 that includes a recovery partition of 6GB before the C drive. It is a 200 GB HD and the first partition is 6GB and the second is 180.3GB. I am trying to migrate to a 1TB harddrive. In Automatic mode MigrateEasy 7 build 644 (downloaded and installed today) Sets the partition sizes as "751.2 GB FS: NTFS Partition:0x12 (compaq setup)" and "C" as "C: 180.3 GB NTFS"
In manual mode, the source is "FS: NTFS Partition:0x12 (compaq setup) 6.006 GB" and "C: 180.3 GB NTFS" all Primary (yellow) IDE(0) Secondary Master
My New Hard Disk is 931.5 GB Unallocated (green)
All good
I select "Keep Data" and "manual"
After cloning allocates Secondary Slave as follows
"751.2 GB FS: NTFS Partition:0x12 (compaq setup)" and "C" as "C: 180.3 GB NTFS"
same as automatic.
I proceed relayout and select NTFS, Flagged Pri with free space of 747.9 GB NTFS Partition:0x12 (compaq setup) and set unallocated space before at 0 bytes, partition at 10.02 (for some room to wiggle) and unallocated space after sets itself to 741.2GB
then I proceed layout to adjust the C: partition
Unallocated space before: is 741.2GB, Partition size 180.3 GB and unallocated space after is 0 bytes. I am unable to change the Partition size via typing numbers or dragging.
Is there no way to put the unallocated 741.2 GB into the C: partition? I'm pulling my hair out, since I want the recovery partition to remain somewhat stable in size and grow the C partition. I've played with every option I can conceive with no luck.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Jeremy,
I will help you to sort this situation out.
As far as I understand, you're trying to clone some HDD to a bigger one saving your recovery partition in original place, is that correct? Most probably you're unable to save the partition layout as you want due to specifics of your recovery partition.
How exactly are you trying to clone, is it from product installed under Windows or from Standalone Version of Acronis Migrate Easy 7.0? If you're operating from Windows, please try a CD version. It should help.
If it does not, it possible to get all partitions resized correctly after cloning, using some third part software, or our partition manager - Acronis Disk Director Suite 10.0. You will be able to resize all partitions on your hard drive in order to get the layout you want.
Please let me know the results and feel free to ask any additional questions.
We are looking forward to hearing back from you at your earliest convenience.
Thank you.

Migration to new Hard drive went well. ( My friend did all the work)
On powering-on, "found New Hardware" Dialog box appears. (I did remove all USB peripherals from the PC and then re-connected them but not necessarily in the previous locations)
Initially , I clicked "cancel" and was able to proceed to work
On the next power-on, ( quite some noise from the machine then silence after some time) the "found New Hardware" reappears.
How can I get rid of "found new hardware" dialog box?
