Windows 10 support for ABR 11.5?
With the soon to be released Windows 10, I have a Windows 8.1 user who wants to know how soon he'll be able to upgrade.
Any word on when Windows 10 will be supported?

Today I installed the latest build 43994 on my Win10 RTM 10240. I am not able to create WINDOWS PE bootable medium even I have installed the ADK for Windows 10 and I pointed to target ADK folder during medium build process.
I also encountered an upgrade problem from previous build if I use my MS account instead of my local account. I need to switch to local account to make a proper install. Any other experience ?

NO support for Windows ADK 10 (WinPE 10). It is released more than two weeks ago!!

Ok, but in build 43994 last week there was Win 10 Support announced but no info that WIN PE is not supported !!

Hello,
Windows 10 is supported with the latest hotfix for installation and all backup/restore operations.
That said, the latest hotfix does not support WinPE 10 because this is a very different process (part of the Bootable Media Builder functionality) and this still being worked on.
In the meantime, you can install and use the older ADK to create WinPE 5.x media from inside Windows 10.

Hi thanks,
I tried this but Acronis didn't found the right path to the WINPE Files from AIK 8.1. Can you tell me which is the path so I can try to specify the right path. (Win 10 RTM 10240)
thanks

Hello Antonio,
If the program can't find the files automatically, there is a probably a conflict with the paths in Windows (special characters in non-default installation directories, for example). I would suggest opening a ticket with our support to investigate this.
As for choosing the right path manually, the documentation is a bit unclear (I'll ask for this to be fixed) there is one more step that has to be done in order to prepare the WinPE files.
Follow these steps:
1. Open cmd and cd into the WinPE installation directory: ...\Assessment and Deployment Kit\Windows Preinstallation Environment
2. Run the copype.cmd command located in this directory using the architecture you want (64 32 bit):
copype [amd64 or x86] [new_directory]
For example, this could be
copype amd64 C:\WinPE_files
3. Open the bootable media builder and choose the [new_directory]\media directory
In my example, this would be the C:\WinPE_files\media folder
Thank you.

I have Win10 RTM EE and for some reason I can not manage to install Windows agent, it runs for a while and then rollbacks. I am using the latest version. I have had similar problems before, but they had been easier to solve. This is the error message:
The installation was interrupted before Acronis Backup could be installed. You need to restart the
installer to try again.

Hi Kimmo,
would it be possible to share an installation log?
Thank you,

I noticed an other thread about problems with Win10 and there was suggestion to use the cleanup program, so I tried it and it kind of solved the problem. The "normal" installation failed because for some reason it could not start the WinAgent service (it complained something about missing device) but it was solved by component based installation.
The other problem with the cleanup is that I must reconfigure my backup jobs and storage. (:

I have not been able to run it in win 10 64 bit
I tried to re-install and I get error starting agent.
All 4 acronis services are running so they have been installed.
What is the solution?
