Can we use our own storage?

Thread needs solution

Hi! We are interested in Acronis Backup Cloud but we do not want to use your cloud storage...
Can we set up our own storage?
thanks

Hello Graig!
Yes, you can! I fact, there are three implementations of Acronis BaaS: Acronis hosted (both storage and management parts are hosted by Acronis), hybrid (management is ours, storage is yours) and service provider hosted (both storage and management are hosted at your premises), the last one is going to be implemented. You can try out one of the first two. Please contact our Sales Engineers team. They’ll help you with setup. http://www.acronis.com/en-us/provider/software-storage/ click "Contact us"

I see the option to backup on your own storage. The backup created some .TIB files. How can I restore just an couple of files from the .tib file?

In the Backup management console, click Recover, then select the location and the recovery point. For a file-level archive you have one option - recover files. For a disk-level archive you have two options - recover files and recover machine. Click Recover files and select the data you want to recover. Thanks for you reply, this will work for backup that are stored in the cloud but didn't work for backup on own storage.

By local storage you mean a local/network folder, not an own Acronis Storage (another Acronis solution) as a replacement for the cloud storage in Acronis data centers? The topic starter was asking about Acronis Storage, so I thought you had Acronis Storage as well.

The recovery method is basically the same for both cloud and local storage: you click Recovery, select location and recovery point and click Recover files. The only difference between restoring files from a local storage and a Cloud storage is that you can download files from the Cloud or directly restore to the original machine from a local/network folder. Please see the detailed description here: https://dl.managed-protection.com/u/baas/help/4/admin/en-US/index.html#…

Please let me know whether this helped. If not, could you please make some screenshots to illustrate what differs from the procedure described in the user guide.
