2 out of 6 machines returns to 'ready to recieve screen' after deploy

Thread needs solution

Hi,

I have a setup with 6 machines/clients that is all hardware alike. A very annoying thing that happens is, that every time i deploy, 2 machines fail (random machines btw.). It doesnt say fail in deployment interface but when i look at the screen on these machines, they have returned to the state where they are waiting to recieve an image.

I then have an option to either cancel, which just returns the machine to the same screen over and over - or i have to kill the machine on the power button, which seems to make it go on to the next step (fx. creating SID's, restarting ect) when it starts up again.

I could imagine this to be VERY annoying if I had 300 machines which means 100 of them wouldn't get done deploying automatically.

Any ideas what to do?

Best Regards,
Allan

Hello,

1. Network overload can take place. Try to use Unicast mode in the network utilization settings. (it is described here: http://www.acronis.com/en-us/support/documentation/ASD5/index.html#1589…).

2. If the master image is located on a network share, try to place it on a ASD server.

3. Please clarify what option you have selected in the "Specify the machines to deploy to" page of the task creation wizard (http://www.acronis.com/en-us/support/documentation/ASD5/index.html#1351…).

4. Also clarify settings in the "Specify deployment start condition" page of the task creation wizard (http://www.acronis.com/en-us/support/documentation/ASD5/index.html#1352…)

Best regards.

I came across the same Issue.
The Issue appears quite often while deploying Hp Servers.

We are using only the Unicast option and it appears wether we use Restart or Shutdown after Deployment. The Machines just come to the "Startmask" after they finished the Deployment. Also the Console Shows "failed", even when the Machine is running fine after the Deployment.

The Images are palced on an direct attached FC Storage. So in all it does not impact the quality of the Deployment, but is quite annoying and confusing.

Hello, Fabian

To know why the deployment fails, logs should be analyzed. Our Support team can help you to resolve this issue: http://www.acronis.com/support/
