Changed files

Thread needs solution

Hello i'm a total newbye to this forum this is my first post.
But i really appreciate the Acronis True Image and plan to use it in the future.
I just have one doubt:
Is there a way to know what files have changed in a backup in comparison to the previous backup?
I wish i could know:
what files have changed
what files have been deleted
what files have been added

The best would be to know that in comparison to the full backup and in comparison to the last incremental backup.

Thank u in advance for yr help
Patrick

Hello Patrick,

Unfortunately, I can't provide you even with an estimate time frame of the new release. However, our developers are already working on it.

Please reply to this thread if you have any questions.

Thank you.

Sorry Ilya,
I wish i received yr newsletter via mail, all threads but only about the Acronis TRue image Posts.

Can u help me and tell me how to do it?

And 2 more requests:

1. woud it be possible to have a task starting DAILY but only a certain number of minutes (es30) after the log on? by doing this i could let all the other logon task finish and i could plug in the usb drive which is the place where backups r

2. when i ask for the task status it comes out a popup and only when i comes out the calculation of the remaining time starts (in fact it always starts with 49710days going down to hours and minutes). Wouldn't it be possible to have this remaining time calculated on run time from the beginning. It would be more precise because it considers all the history of the task and i could have the result at any time

thanx
Patrick

Patrick,

Do you mean you want to receive notification on posts from the forum or do you mean receive newsletters from Acronis?

If you mean you just want to receive notifications about posts or threads you have started then you can do one of two things.

1. If you want to receive email notification for ALL your posts and threads started, then you enable that in your account on this forum.

Click on MyAccount, select EDIT, scroll down unto you reach the comments choice - see attached png.

2. If you only want to receive emails concerning selected posts or threads you start, then tick the Notify me box at the bottom of the reply or thread starter box.

In answer to your DAILY image question, the only way to achieve this at present is to use the Windows Scheduler to call True Image. If you are using Vista or Windows 7 this is easy to accomplish.

Ok for the threads.
As for the DAILY image question. I am using XP so i'd have to use an external scheduler.

In any case i just want to let u know that other programs (gfi backup) allow this feature coz it might be useful. Could u think about implementing it in a future version?

Thanx
Patrick

Hello Patrick,

I'll forward your request to the appropriate department.

As a temporary workaround, you can have a look at chain2gen application created by the forum MVP oracledba. You can find the guide on how to use it at this thread (Chapter 3).

Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

Thank you.
