Comparaison/Compatibility True Image Home 2009 & Backup & Recovery™ 10 Workstation
Hi,
I made an image of my System (Vista x64) by using TI 2009.
After having changed my RAID adapter, I guess I have to use Universal Restore for Workstation, in order to restore my previous disk image. Note: I tried to restore the image by using TI 2009 but as the RAID adapter driver was missing I got a bad (not even complete) BSOD then automatic reboot.
Now some questions:
- Which are the differences between the both tools of Acronis ? Is BR 10 WS a feature upper set of TI 2009 or BR10 miss something compared to TI 2009 ?
- Is the TI 2009's image compatible with BR10 ?
- Do you see some issue if I use Universal Recovery for reaching my goal (restoring Vista 64x on a new RAID array managed by a new adapter) ?
Thanks

Hello all,
Thank you for using [[http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/trueimage/ | Acronis True Image]]
Which are the differences between the both tools of Acronis ? Is BR 10 WS a feature upper set of TI 2009 or BR10 miss something compared to TI 2009 ?
This subject was widely discussed on the old Wilderssecurity forum, you can use search to find the respective information. Please see, for example, this thread.
Is the TI 2009's image compatible with BR10 ?
What about the TI 2009's / BR10 image compatibility ?
The compatibility of the backup archive created by Acronis True Image Home 2009 with Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 is not guaranteed.
The backup archives created by Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 are incompatible with Acronis True Image Home 2009.
Please see the article Backup archive compatibility across different product versions for more information.
Do you see some issue if I use Universal Recovery for reaching my goal (restoring Vista 64x on a new RAID array managed by a new adapter)?
I don't see any problems in performing the operation. Acronis Universal Restore was created especially for these purposes. Acronis Universal Restore provides an efficient solution for restoration of a hardware-independent system by replacing the crucial HAL and hard disk controller drivers.
Please see the article Transferring Windows to Dissimilar Hardware for more information.
Thank you.
