Tasks & Log crash
Acronis TIH 2010 build 7046. If I click on Tasks & Log the program either hangs (not responding) or crashes with a runtime error in TrueImage.exe. All other menus in the program are working ok and it does seem to be running scheduled backups but I can't access the tasks to change them. Any suggestions please?

Yes I installed it over 6053. I am running Win7 Pro 64 bit. Thanks for the suggestion, I have run the repair and rebooted but it is still doing it.
I suppose I may have to uninstall completely and reinstall but I assume that will mean setting up all the tasks and settings again which I really don't want to have to do as it was a lot of work.
Without doubt this is the most unstable program on my computer!!!

Hello,
thomasjk, thank you very much, I think that it's the only workaround that should help.
Richard, as thomasjk mentioned, please uninstall the software and then install it form scratch. Most likely, some Acronis modules weren't updated correctly and this caused the crash.
Unfortunately, you'll have to create all scheduled tasks once again since they'll be removed.
Please reply to this thread if the issue still persists or of you have any additional questions.
Thank you.

Thanks for your response. I have had no option but to uninstall, reinstall, re-enter all the settings and re-create all of the tasks. This is no small task to remember what options and settings I used before and to have to re-select all the folders for the backups.
Since this is backup software (and given that it is unstable) perhaps there might be an option to backup its own settings so that they could be recovered and then I wouldn't have to lose another 2 hours of my life if something like this happens again!

Oh the issue has now recurred. I did a complete uininstall/reboot/reinstall/reboot and last night it was fine.
Today I just noticed a task popup and thought that was odd since they shouldn't be running at this time of the day. So I openened ATIH and clicked on the Tasks & Log page but it wont open again. The online backup task seems to be running but keeps popping up to say it has started. I suspended it but it started again. I did eventually manage to get into the schedule to stop it but it still kept starting. So I have rebooted and although the task is not starting it seems that this has corrupted something because I still can't get into the tasks and logs page.
Oh no, hangon while typing this it has finally opened the tasks page after "not responding" for about 5 minutes. Oh false alert I can see it but I can't do anything as I keep getting a stuck egg timer. Clearly something is not right and it seems that this problem has been caused by the online backup task which has broken something even though the task is now disabled. It makes sense as I realise it didn't happen before I signed up for this service.

Thanks for your advice, I have sent a message to support using the web form. However the system report and info files were both nearly 50Mb which exceeds their 40Mb attachment limit. I removed one large file from the ssytem report zip to get it down to 25Mb and sent several times but it kept timing out so eventually I sent without the attachment. Not much use having a system report if the web form wont accept it! I will report back if there is any progress.
