Need to fix Build Synchronization at store.acronis.com
I'm new, so I don't rightly know where or to whom to report this, but I trust someone here can help or forward this problem.
The downloads for TI Home 2010 and the Plus Pack for TI 2010 were not synchronized to the same build number. TI 2010 Home was 7046, and the Plus Pack was 6029.... For you guys that have been around for a while, y'all know the answer is to get the newer plus pack.... For a newbie, this is bad juju....
1) Took a bunch of time to figure out that it was a build match issue...
2) Once I did, then I had to figure out why the Install program was calling my newly purchased/valid Serial Numbers INVALID!!
3) Then I had to go to the main site and register an account, then register the serial numbers, then download the newer Plus Pack build...
Not griping that much really... I'm really diggin' the sofware, but someone needs to look into the sync problem and how to prevent it from happening...
Also, perhaps an info injection somewhere in the purchase path that tells the user that he needs to reister/register serial numbers before you can get the latest builds.... to include using the "Check for latest..." option in the install programs...
