Backup Problems after upgrade from Win 8.1 to Win 10

Thread needs solution

After upgrading from Win 8.1 on Win 10 I constantly receive this error message. I've done for this reason even of Aconis TI 2015 to 2016 upgrade. I use a WD My Cloud EX2 in the network. I have no explanation for this error :-(

Can someone help me here? Thanks in advance!

Andreas this usually means that an earlier backup file (or files) has been deleted. You should select the backup in Acronis (the one you were doing when the error occurred) and Validate it. When Acronis comes up with a message to say it can't find a particular backup file just select ignore.

Thanks for the answer. When I validate then this message will appear - see picture - but this file pledge I have not and I do not know where I can set this. "ls-vld7c" was once a hard drive on the network which, however, had never been anything to do with Acronis. Can not reset Acronis somewhere? Somehow seems to be there which got mixed up ..... ----> translate by Google ;-)

You could try the following:

Close TI
Go to C:>ProgramData>Acronis>Home>Database and rename the file archives.db to savedarchives.db
Restart TI and check that a new archives.db has been created.

You can always put things back as they were by renaming savedarchives.db to archives.db so there is no risk.

This assumes C: is your system disk.

Hi Chris,
I have the file as you described above have unnamed. Rebooted etc. I still get the following error messages .... Slowly I despair. The path is displayed where there is not in the network. There was once a network drive which, however, is no longer in power and has also never operated via Acronis TI.

Well I am at a loss to help Andreas, I simply don't understand why Acronis is trying to call up those shares that are old.

If you go into Windows Explorer, under Network are these old shares listed there?

Ultimately, I have Acronis uninstalls, removes leftover files and folders manually and Acronis reinstalled. My first impression is that it is now working again. We'll see. I am hopeful ;-) Thank you very much for your help! (translated with Google)
