How do I redirect this PoS to a new drive?

Thread needs solution

My USB drive has registered under a new drive letter this time. "Big deal!" one would think. Well, with this piece of junk called Acronis True Image it actually IS a big deal!

How do I teach TI to use a new drive letter but keep everything else in the current backup settings as is?

Via a red (x) between computer and drive the program signals that it cannot connect to the drive that was used for the last backup (surprise! surprise!!!) but when I select "Edit Settings" I get an error popup "Failed to open "F:\Acronis Backup" that doesn't allow me to change the destination!

If I select "Ignore" the destination is erased and replaced by a circle "select destination". If I click that an empty blue area looking like a "speech bubble" appears from the bottom (looks like it is trying to tell me something...), but the blue area remains empty, so no idea WHAT it is trying to convey to me.

It really seems that all I can do is to delete and recreate a new backup setting, which of course will interrupt my chain of incremental backups so that I will need to create a new initial full backup again. And next time, if my USB drive happens to appear under yet a new drive letter the whole story repeats!

This "modern" UI is really a catastrophe! The previous GUI was so much more intuitive and more flexible! I am getting upset practically each time I fire up the program!

A good practice is to assign a drive letter towards the end of the alphabet to disk(s) that you are using with ATI.
Start Windows disk Management, select your USB disk and right click to change drive letter. Give it a letter like Z: or Y:. This way it won't change at the whim of UPnP
