ATI 2016 build 5586 : backup & cloning error

Thread needs solution

Hi,

I just installed ATI 2016. when I try to define a backup, I select "disks and partitions" as backup source.
however nothing shows up in the window where my disks / partitions should be visible.

Another thing, maybe related : when I go to "tools" > "clone disk" I get the following error (see attachment)

Any idea ?

Thanks !

Johan

Did you click on the link to the knowledge base, and if so was there any hint there?

It is clearly a serious issue - I have not had it.

I see you are using Win 10, which version is it (Home or Pro, 32 or 64)? Was windows a clean installation or did you update a Win 7/8.1 system either by windows update or the downloaded installation medium? Was ATI 2016 installed before or after the upgrade to Win 10? Did you previously have an earlier version of ATI installed?

Ian

Hi Ian,

yes, I searched the KB but found nothing really related to the issue(s)
I'm using Win 10 64 PRO
Win 10 is a fresh install. I used to have win 7 on an SSD. I added an extra SSD where I did a clean install of win 10.
ATI 2016 is also a new installation.
On my win 7 system I used Acronis True Home 2011.
When I launched ATI2016 on win 10 , it detected the old ATI2011 backup definitions on my win7 SSD. But I don't think this would cause the strange behaviour of ATI2016 ....(I hope)
When I choos e "folders" as backup source, I can see the folders on my system. Also, choosing a "target" is also possible, I can see all the disks in my system.

Thanks for your help

regards

Johan
